Microsoft will bring several new options in its next Windows release

As you most likely know by now, Windows 8.1 will serve as the foundation for plenty of improvements made to the Windows platform, especially when it comes to the Metro UI.

A new video posted on YouTube, on the other hand, suggests that some of the “innovations” made available in Windows 8.1 are not exactly new, pointing to some old Windows 7 features that do almost the same thing.

The search option, for example, will be significantly refreshed in Windows 8.1, so it will display suggestions as you type, while also providing results from both online and offline worlds. The old Start Menu included in Windows 7 could do that too.

In addition, searching for specific images from the Metro UI doesn’t seem to be such an impressive thing, as Google Image Search already allowed users to do this straight from the browser.

Truth is, all these features seem to be a bit more polished in Windows 8.1, so have a look at this clip and let us know what you think.
