Microsoft has recently announced a new deal with Delta Air Lines that basically brings Surface 2 tablets into specific aircraft, thus trying to reduce paper usage and make documents flight bags easier to carry around.

The company has now published a video to present the advantages of the deal, explaining that a Windows RT 8.1 tablet can greatly improve your in-flight experience by making it easier for pilots to stay connected and get stuff done easier.

“The move to Surface is about improving safety and security, but also enabling more streamlined information management to speed access to information. Pilots will now have the information they need at their fingertips rather than flipping through tabbed sections in a large, heavy reference book,” the company explained.

At this point, only pilots of specific Boeing aircrafts will get the tablet, but Microsoft hopes to make it available across Delta’s entire staff by the end of 2014.
