Microsoft continues its efforts to convince more developers to port their apps to Windows 8, this time with a video showcasing some behind the scenes moments with the creation process of the USA Today tool.

As you may know already, USA Today is now one of the most downloaded news apps in Windows 8, as it provides access not only to new stories from around the world, but also to videos, scores, markets, snapshots, and weather details.

You can also access the latest sports scores from NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, college football and basketball, but also to check the market numbers by index.

The app works like a charm on all Windows 8 builds, including x86, x64 and ARM builds, so it can also be installed on tablets running windows RT.
