More fake apps are listed for download in the Windows Store

If you are looking for apps in the Windows Store, you might come across a new program called WhatsApp for Windows which might trick you into believing that the famous mobile instant messenger is now available on Microsoft's Windows operating system too.

Unfortunately, it's not, and although it might claim otherwise, the so-called WhatsApp for Windows is just a very basic application that provides some very simple instructions on how to download and install the original solution on your PC with BlueStacks.

“This app gives you a brief description about how to download whats app in your computer and even how to add contacts to your whats app,” the app description reads.

The application is offered free of charge and claims to work on all Windows 8.1 versions, including the tablet-oriented Windows RT also powering Microsoft's very own Surface RT tablet.

As you can see, this is another example of poor quality apps that are approved by Microsoft to be listed for download, so it's still hard to understand how come the company approves such items to be offered to Windows 8.1 users. The company has already promised to focus more on keeping the Windows Store clean, so let's just hope that such apps would be soon removed.
