WinRAR 5.10 Beta 3 is now available for download on all supported platforms, bringing not only bug fixes, but also some optimizations that could enhance the overall experience with the app.

Although it’s still a beta, WinRAR 5.10 Beta 3 is very likely to work quite smoothly, as it fixes two important bugs affecting the archive encryption system and the recovery volumes command in the options screen.

At the same time, the new version also brings some improvements to the way the application handles the “Keep broken files” option. The official release notes published today have a little bit more info on this:

“More efficient implementation of ‘Keep broken files’ extraction option (-kb switch in command line mode). Now it allows to recover more data from file split between RAR volumes if next volume is missing.”

Just like before, the new version of WinRAR continues to work flawlessly on all Windows editions on the market, but keep in mind that it’s still in the beta development stage, so a number of bugs could also exist. Users who don’t have the knowledge or experience to diagnose bugs and send reports to the parent company are recommended to download the stable version.

Overall, this new update is quite a great way to have a look at the next stable version of the application, so download WinRAR 5.10 Beta 3 right now to see what it brings new.
