New version back-propagates bug fixes and minor improvements

The stable build of WinSCP has just been updated to version 4.3.6 and the set of modifications available include bug fixes and improvements that are already available in the beta releases (5.0.3 – 5.0.5). An upgrade to PuTTY 0.62 is also included.

Besides squashing plenty of bugs, the current version also introduces OpenCandy advertising module. It is part of a sponsored installer, which shows only one advertisement during the installation process. This helps the developer continue the progress with WinScp.

However, the ad-free option is also available, if you do not wish to support the future development of WinSCP. The portable version of the program is also ad free.

The list of repairs is pretty large and fixes the default permissions for new remote directory, which did not include execution privileges. Also mended is the pop up of a duplicate reconnect prompt when connection is lost, while transferring file in subdirectory.
