WinSetupFromUSB is one of the applications that could really come in handy to many Windows users, as it allows them to install the operating system from a USB drive without the need for the traditional DVD.

A new version released today comes to make the whole process a bit faster and easier by bringing some bug fixes and feature improvements, adding several new options.

For example, version 1.2 adds improved handling when a program is placed and run from directories which contain special characters, while also fixing bugs experienced when running the program on Windows localized in languages other than English, causing the app not to add NT6 sources.

In addition, the release notes point that the new version comes with “an advanced option for NT6 (Vista and later) sources to add Q-Dir File Explorer, which starts before Setup. This is useful to quickly browse disk contents and backup and restore files before launching Setup, rather than booting first in another OS to perform the same task. When Q-Dir is closed, Setup starts.”

Overall, there’s no doubt that this is an important update for all users, so download WinSetupFromUSB 1.2 right now to see what’s new.
