Windows 10 Technical Preview build 10049 was released to Windows insiders this week, but the company has already compiled yet another build that's now being tested by partners.

Windows 10 build 10051 is, according to Russian leaker WZor, already in the hands of a number of testers, and documentation that has reached the web provides us with a quick glimpse into the feature lineup of this fresh version.

If you look closely at the attached images, most of the changes have been made under the hood, so Windows 10 build 10051 is chiefly about fixing and improving things that are necessarily visible to users when they boot up the operating system.

Instead, there are also some critical bug fixes supposed to make Windows 10 run more smoothly, including patches aimed at making upgrades from Windows 8.1 to the technical preview faster and less prone to bugs.

For instance, the power setting label as “Important” displayed during an upgrade no longer exists, while the yellow warnings appearing in device manager once the upgrade was completed no longer show up.

Right now, it's not yet clear whether this particular Windows 10 build could be released to insiders or not, but expect another fresh version of the technical preview to get the go-ahead in late March. Microsoft promised to ship new builds at a faster pace, so Windows insiders could get another one either later this month or in early April if no major bug is found.
