This is what a revamped File Explorer could look like

They say the hamburger button is not an appropriate feature for Modern apps in Windows 10, despite the fact that Microsoft seems really keen on using it here and there, but what if the same button were implemented in desktop programs as well?

A concept created by DeviantArt designer MZN0 shows exactly what a hamburger button would look like in Windows 10, envisioning a revamped version of the built-in file manager that could dump the classic interface that has been around of years.

This time, File Explorer borrows some design elements from the Modern apps that have already been implemented in the Windows 10 Technical Preview builds, including new fonts and minimal icons which, believe it or not, seem to really make sense at some level.

The hamburger button, on the other hand, might cause more criticism, as it's a well-known fact that many people actually hate it in Windows 10 and Windows 10 for phones just because it comes from Android. Microsoft hasn't yet offered any indication whether it plans to remove it or not in the final version of the OS, but the hamburger button is still there for now.

This concept, however, lacks a very important feature: tab support. Expected to arrive at some point in Windows 10, tab support is one of the most awaited features for File Explorer, so you can't simply imagine a revamped version of the file manager without such an option.
