Designer creates a new interpretation of the browser

There’s no doubt that the arrival of a new browser in Windows is really important news for users across the world, and while Spartan remains an unknown thing for most of us, designers know exactly what the new app should look like in Windows 10.

This is how the adjacent concept came to be, and although it doesn’t look at all like the app we saw in a leaked screenshot this morning, it’s still proof that users expect Microsoft to release an eye-candy browser that’s significantly better than the existing versions of Internet Explorer.

Probably the first thing that could catch your attention is the tab bar, which in this concept is not placed at the top of the screen but below the address bar. This is the exact same layout that Internet Explorer is using right now, but Spartan is expected to change this once and for all in Windows 10.

Even though this concept does look good, there are nearly zero chances to see such an implementation in the upcoming operating system, but this obviously can’t stop us from hoping to get a much prettier browser in Windows 10.

Sources say that Spartan will only show up in Windows 10 at a later time, most likely during the summer, but Microsoft could still disclose some details at the upcoming January 21 event in Redmond.

Obviously, Spartan won’t be released for users so soon, but the company might actually showcase an early build to prove to people that it’s indeed working on a new browser which at first might be offered together with Internet Explorer for compatibility purposes.

At one point in the future, it’s likely that Spartan will replace Internet Explorer completely and thus become the one and only browser in modern Windows.
