“We intend to update Windows 10 each month,” Microsoft says

Windows 10 for phones preview cannot be installed on Microsoft's flagships, such as the Lumia 930 and 1520, for now, but the company promised to add support for more phones in the coming updates to the operating system.

Of course, since so many users want Windows 10 on their flagships, the top question right now is when exactly Microsoft plans to ship the next OS update.

Unfortunately, Microsoft wants to stick to the one release per month schedule that it uses for PCs, so the next updates for phones would only be shipped in March. In other words, no, Lumia 930 and 1520 might not get the update before March, but there's still no confirmation whether these two Windows Phone models will be part of the next release or not.

Windows 10 for phones comes with several improvements, including a revamped Start screen with a full-size background image, more quick actions in the Action Center, interactive notifications to quickly reply to messages, better speech-to-text support, and a redesigned Photos app.

Microsoft hasn't said anything about the release date of Windows 10 for phones, but the company is most likely planning to bring it out either together with Windows 10 for PCs or shortly after that, so expect it to see daylight in the fall of 2015, after previously reaching RTM during the summer.
