Expert believes that Windows 10 will take off slowly

Windows 10 is expected to ship in the fall of 2015, and since there’ll be plenty of new features and improvements over Windows 8, both Microsoft and some of its customers expect its early adoption figures to be overwhelming to say the least.

But as far as some analysts are concerned, that might not be possible, especially in some specific markets where Microsoft still has a hard time becoming a key player.

Case in point, the tablet industry, where Microsoft still can’t compete against Android and iOS, both platforms currently fighting for the leading spot worldwide.

As a result, experts believe that Windows 10 will need more time to become an option for tablet users and that’s unlikely to happen this year.

“Windows 10 will take time to make its mark, and developers will need a few months to perfect applications for the new platform. We expect Windows 10 to have little impact on tablet sales before late 2016,” Marina Koytcheva, director of forecasting at CCS Insight, was quoted as saying by Expert Reviews.

Unsurprisingly, Microsoft expects Windows 10 to tackle multiple worlds at the same time, as it will bring improvements not only on the traditional PC but also on tablets and smartphones.

The Windows 10 rollout, scheduled to begin in the fall of this year, will also include new platforms for tablets and smartphones, and Microsoft is expected to preview them next week, during a special event focused on consumers.
