Microsoft has already said that Windows 10 comes with the exact system requirements as Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, but aside from the data provided for Windows Technical Preview, there were no other details available as to what exactly you are going to need in order to install the new OS.

In a slide recently presented by Microsoft at WinHEC, the company reveals that Windows 10 will require a screen resolution of at least 800x600 pixels, with a display of at least 7 inches for the pro version and 8 inches for consumer SKUs.

In addition, Redmond revealed that the 32-bit versions of Windows 10 would require at least 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage space, while the 64-bit flavors will be more demanding and need 2 GB of RAM and 20 GB of storage.

Tables running Windows 10 will also need power and volume control buttons, while Start buttons and rotation lock controls are optional.

There are also some other optional components and connectivity, including accelerometers, magnetometers, ALS, and proximity sensors, as well as vibration mechanism, which on mobile phones are absolutely required. Other mandatory features for phones are cellular and Wi-Fi support, headset jack, power, and volume buttons.

Windows 10 is expected to see the light of day in the second half of 2015 on both PCs and tablets, while RTM should be reached in June.
