Designer completely revamps the existing notification center

If you’re a Windows Insider, you certainly know that in Windows 10 there’s also a notification center inspired from the one in Windows Phone, but which Microsoft plans to significantly improve in the upcoming release builds.

Until Microsoft does that, a designer whose nickname is FourthEchelon19 created a concept that’s not necessarily appealing but comes up with an approach that would make much more sense for an operating system that’s also supposed to be a bit more eye-candy as compared to its predecessors.

What he did was add transparency to the notification center and also include quick actions which can be performed depending on the type of notification you receive.

File Explorer, which is the app you see in the background, now has tabs, so you can work with multiple files and folders at the same time. Other refinements here and there are also available for an overall improved UI that could really appeal to a number of users out there.

Obviously, there still are aspects to be improved in this concept, but the good thing is that they at least prove some points that could in the end be adopted by Microsoft in one way or another. Gabriel Aul, head of the Windows Insider Program, said that the company is looking at every single concept that reaches the web, so these mockups might in the end prove to be really helpful for the end user.
