October 31 was the day Microsoft asked all partners to stop selling PCs with pre-installed copies of Windows 7, but it appears that not everyone actually cleared out inventories before this deadline.

While large manufacturers such as HP and Lenovo have already ended sales of computers running Windows 7 Home or Ultimate, it appears that Dell still has some in stock and they can be purchased right from the official website of the company.

At this point, there are three different Windows 7 computers in stock at Dell and all are running the Home Basic version of the operating system.

Of course, expect them to be removed from the website anytime soon, but it’s just another indication that OEMs need a little bit more time to empty all stocks of Windows 7 PCs.

Needless to say, it should be really easy to find new PCs running Windows 7 if you know where to look, and the best choices are obviously Amazon and eBay, two online shopping services that continue to provide plenty of listings pointing to such computers.

Microsoft ended sales of PCs with pre-installed copies of Windows 7 on Friday, but the Professional version of the operating system continues to be available for OEMs. A deadline for this particular SKU is yet to be provided, but expect it to remain available for at least one more year.
