The Camera app integrated into Windows 8.1 / Blue will receive several improvements, including Photosynth support to take 3D photos.

According to a report by Microsoft-News.com, evidence of the Photosynth integration has been found in a recently leaked ISO, which means that the tech giant is at least pondering the introduction of such a feature.

While no details are available for the time being, such an option would also come with Windows 8 integration to easily share photos with friends using the built-in charms.

In addition, the report states that the Camera app might boast features to quickly publish taken pictures to a specific website.

As usual, these are all rumors, so we should take all of them with a pinch of salt, at least until Microsoft steps in front of the media to say something official about Blue.
