Some users are experiencing new problems with Google’s browser

A number of users are now reporting touch accuracy issues after deploying the new Windows 8.1 Preview, with some claiming that it only happens when running Google Chrome.

Several posts on Microsoft’s support forums report the same issue, but Microsoft is yet to comment on this and release a workaround.

“Each touch registers about 1.5" up-left from where I actually touch the screen. This is consistent after a restart of Chrome and a reboot of the Surface. I calibrated touch through the Control Panel and the issue persists. The pen is not affected... I can use it to touch an exact location on the screen,” one user explains.

While this is most unlikely a touch calibration issue, Microsoft will probably roll out a fix in the next update cycles prepared for 8.1 Preview.
