Bug reports keep coming on Windows 8.1 Preview, so Microsoft's developers are most likely hard at work to fix them in time for the public launch of the RTM version.

This time, users are claiming that the built-in Photo app does not show DNG files, even if they install the Adobe DNG codec or Microsoft's Camera Codec Pack.

“I am not able to view my DNG photos from the Photos app. I have loaded the Adobe DNG codec. I can view the pics from the desktop, so the codec is working. Why doesn't the app use the codec?” one user asks.

Of course, Microsoft hasn't released a statement on this, so the company is most likely looking into the issue as we speak, but expect a workaround to be included in the RTM version of Windows 8.1 project to go live in October.
