As I’ve reported to you not a long time ago, Microsoft started distributing the latest updates to Windows 8.1 RTM machines, thus trying to prepare everyone for the big launch on October 18.

Now it turns out that what it’s being called Windows 8.1 RTM GA Rollup A x64 has reached the web, which means that users already running the final version of 8.1 can install these updates as well via unofficial channels.

As you can see, the leaked version is only aimed at x64 copies of the operating system, and includes three different updates, namely KB2894179, KB2883200, and KB2894029.

The download size is approximately 200 MB, with the update supposed to fix many of bugs found in Windows 8.1 RTM, while also bringing a number of improvements to the built-in utilities.

No details on the x86 or the Windows RT versions of these patches are available for the time being.
