Here’s what the Start screen looks like in the upcoming 8.1 update

Windows 8.1 Update 1 got leaked this morning, so users who want to have a glimpse into the feature lineup of the upcoming release can easily download the ISO and give it a try right now.

As you can see in these screenshots, Microsoft has brought context menu-like options on the Start screen, which basically makes it easier for desktop users to pin apps to taskbar, unpin from Start, uninstall an app or resize its tile.

At the same time, the Start screen also holds a power option menu that allows you to shut down or restart the computer without the need for signing off your account, which clearly comes in handy for those who don’t want to use the Start button for this purpose.

Windows 8.1 Update 1 will debut in March and will be delivered via Windows Update as a free download for all users running Windows 8.1.
