Windows 8.1 Update was published on MSDN yesterday in the form of MSU installers and stand-alone ISOs, but they’re now available for everyone as the official builds have leaked to the web via file-sharing websites.

This means that Windows 8.1 users can install the update presented at the BUILD 2014 conference right now, even though it’s pretty clear that everyone should wait until April 8 when Microsoft has promised to start shipping the new packs to all users.

Windows 8.1 Update will be delivered to users via Windows Update next week, so the installation process should go smoothly. If you’re downloading the MSDN builds, on the other hand, you’ll have to do everything manually, no matter if you go for the MSU installers or the ISO files.

The new Windows 8.1 Update comes with a plethora of improvements, including a new Start screen that has context menu-like options, power controls at one-click distance, and a search box giving you the possibility to search for information online and offline faster and easier.

Of course, Windows 8.1 Update is being offered free of charge to all Windows 8.1 users, so if you don’t want to wait for the April 8 launch and you know where you look, you could download it right now.
