Microsoft announced earlier today that it would release updates for all of its Windows 8 Modern Apps, including Mail, Calendar, People and Messaging.

These four tools will get several new features, including complete IMAP account support, the company said in a detailed blog post on the updates.

What’s more, the Redmond-based technology giant will integrate a conversation view of your inbox, an improved search engine, but also dedicated tools to search for a contact within the Messaging app.

Last but not least, you’ll also be allowed to accept and decline invitations in email and capture and update your account picture.

The updates will be released in the next few weeks before the official Windows 8 debut on October 26. The Windows Store tile will notify you of any updates that will be released to Windows 8 users.
