As I’ve told you not a long time ago, Write is probably the most basic text editor available in the Windows Store right now, as it’s specifically focused on writing and doesn’t provide any other feature.

Well, a new version of the app is now available for download from the Windows Store, bringing several bug fixes and performance improvements on both Windows 8 and Windows RT.

According to the release notes, this particular build packs fixes for a bug occurring when saving and opening files using shortcuts, while also trying to address some other minor issues reported by users in the previous builds.

Developers plan to bring a couple of new options in the next releases, including markup language support and printing support, but more details will be available at a later date.
