What if the new file manager of Windows 9 looked just like this?

As I've told you plenty of times until now, Windows 9 is expected to bring quite a lot of changes to the modern Microsoft platform, including visual changes supposed to make it a bit more user friendly.

Markus McNugen has included some of the changes he expects to see in Windows 9 in a new concept, creating a new interpretation of a Windows Explorer UI that could be part of the upcoming release.

Just like expected, the imagined Windows Explorer features tab, which is one of the highly anticipated features that are already part of third-party file manager but missing from Microsoft's apps.

The look clearly needs more refinements, but it's proof that users still need tabs in Windows Explorer, especially because this would allow the app to compete with third-party file managers available on the market.

Microsoft would most likely ignore this design, but let's just hope that Windows Explorer would get tabs at some point, be it Windows 9 or another major release.
