Picture frame settings are now available in Windows Blue as well

Aside from many other changes, Windows Blue will also come with a so-called picture frame option that will allow users to display photo galleries right on their lock screens.

Similar to the feature already available on Windows Phone 8, the picture frame tool will support the locally stored picture library and the online SkyDrive account.

It will automatically import all photos and display them as a slideshow on your lock screen, regardless of whether you are using the desktop version of Blue or the RT flavor.

As we told you before, keep in mind that what we have here is just a preview build of Windows Blue, so many things may actually change before the Windows 8 upgrade goes public. The good thing is that Blue seems to integrate plenty of new features, many of which have been requested by early Windows 8 adopters.
