Microsoft is currently hard at work on the successor of Windows Embedded Compact 7, the next iteration of the Windows Embedded CE platform.

But with Windows Embedded Compact v.Next planned for release in the second half of 2012, customers need to focus on the current iteration.

This is where the Windows Embedded Compact 7 Online Training portal comes in, providing free access to a comprehensive collection of resources.

“In order to ensure developers are able to access the right type of material to get ramped up or to dig into particular features of Windows Embedded Compact 7, we created a series of Webcasts and Virtual Labs that are now available through this new portal,” revealed Microsoft’s Olivier Bloch.

“The portal contains 65 webcasts that cover various topics like BSP and driver development, OS Design, Application development, User Interface Development, Debug and troubleshooting. In addition these webcasts point to virtual labs, white papers and MSDN documentation to dive deeper into the topics you are interested in.”
