A new minor build for Windows Firewall Control is available for download. The current revision number is 3.7.2 and the fresh release brings to the table a rewritten installer and updater that include a logging function designed to track down errors occurring during the installation or update procedure.
Apart from this new feature, the developer introduces a set of repairs that aim at improving the functionality and stability of the application. One of the fixes addresses the problem with the shell integration state, which is now recognized correctly.
Uninstalling the program should work in this revision, even if the Windows Firewall Control Service is not available or if the uninstall key from Windows Registry was deleted by accident.
Additionally, Windows Firewall Control should no longer crash on Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2012 if the user clicks on the Export Policy button because the GUI is not available.
