The latest revision for Windows Firewall Control from Binisoft is 4.0.2.0 and it brings to the table a few new features as well as fixes and improvements, all designed to improve the functionality and usability of the program.

Starting this build, users will see a new column added to “Manage Rules,” whose purpose is purely descriptive, and another one called “Local Addresses,” available under Recently Blocked data grid. They are disabled by default and can be turned on from the header’s context menu.

When uninstalling the program now there is the possibility to choose to disable Windows Firewall logging.

Among the glitches fixed in the current release one refers to the deletion of temporary rules with an expiration date after their creation on en-US versions of Windows.

Also repaired is the problem with notifications for “System” being shown despite a rule created to specifically block them being in effect.
