Place shortcuts to specific OS settings on your home screen

The Windows Phone 8.1 home screen surely looks pretty great and most of those who purchase a device running this OS version spend hours trying to tweak its appearance and make the most of the beautiful live tiles and the transparent background.

But if you're trying to make the home screen not only eye candy but also more effective, One Touch Lockscreen is the app your need.

Even though its name might cause a bit of confusion since it uses the term lockscreen, the purpose of the app is to create shortcuts for certain Windows Phone settings right on your home screen.

'Why would I want that?' you might ask. Just image that with this app you can significantly boost the basic purpose of the action center and access not four, but as many phone settings as you want with just a tap. It comes with support for Wi-Fi, 3G, location, lock rotation, airplane mode, and lock device, all in just a very simple UI that doesn't need more than a tap to create a live tile with any of these.

And if you still think that it's a waste of time, just think that by putting a lock device tile on the home screen, you shoot two birds with one stone. First, you avoid breaking down the lock button because of excessive use and second, you can easily lock the device with a quick tap.

Obviously, the app is free of charge and can be used by all Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 devices.
