Microsoft has just announced that its RT 8.1 update is again available for the download, as the company has apparently fixed all issues spotted in the package during the weekend.

While no specifics have been provided on what went wrong the first time, Microsoft Support announced via its Twitter account that Windows RT 8.1 is back in the store for everyone, according to a post on Windows Observer.

“Windows RT 8.1 update available again for free in the Windows Store. Go update your Windows RT and Surface RT devices now!” a tweet posted a few minutes ago reads.

Microsoft announced this morning that its faulty update has broken down only a few Windows RT devices, with the company rolling out a dedicated recovery image for all those whose tablets do not work anymore after trying to switch to 8.1.
