Windows RT is one of the platforms to get improved this summer as part of the Blue update cycle, but only few details have been provided so far.
Now a report published by The Verge reveals that Microsoft will introduce the Outlook 2013 RT desktop email client in Windows RT 8.1, thus giving users a second option when it comes to managing their email accounts.
Just like Windows 8, Windows RT already comes with a built-in Metro Mail client, but users have continuously asked for the popular Outlook app to be ported to the tablet-oriented operating system.
In addition to Outlook RT, Microsoft is also believed to be working on a touch-optimized version of its Office productivity suite that could bring Metro flavors of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on Windows 8.1 devices.
