avast! Free Antivirus is one of the security apps that have received updates today, so a new version is now available for Windows users who are planning to install beta builds previewing the next stable release.

As you could easily figure out from the version number, Avast! Free Antivirus 9.0.2015 R3 RC is a release candidate build, which means that it’s not in the stable channel, so a number of bugs and issues still exist.

According to the official release notes, which have also been provided for the previous beta, this new build comes with improvements for the firewall, which should now be more stable and offer enhanced compatibility with other application. The software update engine also comes with some improvements, while the browser cleanup feature has improved detection and removal of browser protectors.

At the same time, GrimeFighter now supports 12 additional languages and features an advanced console for better control of optimization tasks.

AVAST warns that some issues might also be spotted, as GrimeFighter is sometimes offered incorrectly on Microsoft’s modern operating systems, including Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.

Overall, this is a build that should only be installed by experienced users, so download avast! Free Antivirus 9.0.2015 R3 RC right now to see what it brings new to the market.
