CCleaner 5.25 is now available for download with improved cleaning support for the majority of browsers currently on the market, including here the super-popular Google Chrome.

First and foremost, let’s start with what’s new. The official changelog reveals that CCleaner 5.25 adds support for Firefox web extensions, so the app now lets you manage extensions without actually launching Mozilla’s browser.

Then, there are improvements for Firefox history and cache cleaning, but also for Chrome and Opera session cleaning - this should come in handy because Chrome is currently the number one browser worldwide with a share that’s above 50 percent, while Opera keeps growing at a fast pace.

Additionally, the new CCleaner version also included Edge extension support, as the new Microsoft browser that’s exclusively offered to Windows 10 users also works with extensions. This feature was officially rolled out in the Windows 10 Anniversary Update in August, and since then, CCleaner has received improvements for extensions on a regular basis, and this new version makes no exception.

And last but not least, the application comes with improved DPI awareness and support, which again is good news for Windows 10 devices where the app was blurry because of DPI settings.

Of course, there are also some other minor bug fixes and UI improvements, but to find them all, you can download CCleaner on your system to discover everything that’s changed in this version.
