Cortana is one of the new features that will arrive on the desktop when Windows 10 launches, and in build 10158, which is said to be the last one before RTM, Microsoft made several changes to prepare the personal assistant for the big launch on July 29.

In this build, Cortana finally gets a dark theme and comes with options that were previously announced by Microsoft, but not available in older builds, including features to send emails.

From now on, you can launch Cortana and tell her to send an email to anyone, and if something is not correctly recognized and the text is messed up, you can always go back and correct it. Microsoft explains how this new feature works:

“Just say everything at once such as who you want to email (you can send to multiple people), the subject of the e-mail, and what you want your email to say and that’s it. For example - you would say something like ‘Email Gabe Aul Super Awesome Window Feedback…’ and then what you want the message to say. You can even make corrections with your voice.”

For the moment, this feature is limited to English and only works in the United States, but support for more countries and languages is expected to be added soon.

In addition to email sending support, Cortana can also track flights and issue alerts for going to work or home, all depending on the settings you make for the personal assistant.
