The app comes with several improvements to disable tracking

There are plenty of apps out there that promise to protect your privacy on Windows 10 and disable tracking services and all do pretty much the same thing, but DisableWinTracking is one of the few that are actually improved regularly with new options.

Called DisableWinTracking - Windows 10 Tracking Disable Tool, the app has now reached version 2.2 and it adds IP blocking via the Windows Firewall.

At the same time, this new version allows you to choose which options to revert if you want to go back to the standard configuration and enable some of the privacy settings in the operating system. Previously, the app required you to revert all changes, without letting you choose which one to bring back to default.

As far as Microsoft is concerned, the company told us in a statement that you should not install these applications because they make changes to the default OS configuration, and at some point in the future, a number of apps or features might no longer work as expected because of them.

“We strongly suggest customers do not install applications of this nature. These types of third-party apps can alter the way the system operates, creating future problems and changing important settings and features,” the company said in a statement.

Needless to say, anyone can give them a try at their own risk, but remember to create a backup just to make sure you're on the safe side. As a result, you can safely download DisableWinTracking right now to see what it's up to.
