The Security Release ISO Image available with latest updates

Microsoft rolled out nine security updates as part of this month’s Patch Tuesday cycle, five of which are rated as critical, so it goes without saying that installing them as soon as possible should be the first thing to do for all Windows users out there.

But in the case of IT admins who need to patch tens or maybe hundreds of PCs, this is clearly a more difficult thing to do, especially on computers without a fast or permanent Internet connection, and this is where the Security Release ISO Image comes into play.

Microsoft has released an updated version of the Security Release ISO Image that includes the patches rolled out this month, making it possible for users to create media to install all of them faster.

What’s important to know is that this ISO includes Windows updates exclusively, so you won’t find any other patches in there. But on the other hand, there are security patches for absolutely all Windows versions that are still getting support (sorry, Windows XP fans, you’re being left behind once again, but you should really consider upgrading as soon as possible).

Keep in mind that some of these security updates require a system reboot, so make sure you save your work before starting the deployment process. It shouldn’t take too long to complete, and you should be able to get back to your desktop in just a few minutes.
