The stable version for foobar2000 1.2 has just been released. It brings to the table support for new options and expanded functionality.

The fresh revision integrates support for streaming to arbitrary UPnP MediaRenderer devices through the new UPnP output component. It now uses FFMpeg for decoding MP3, AAC and Vorbis data. Also, playback thread priority options have been extended (check the Advanced Preferences).

Newly available in this build are options for carrying out simple conversion jobs that do not require advanced options and menu commands for switching between playback output devices.

Starting this version, the equalizer present in the application is an open-source component, separate from the standard DSP array.
