Microsoft Band has sold impressively well since its debut in November 2014, and Redmond is now working on the second generation, so all the price cuts that are announced across the world aren’t surprising at all.

Today, Target has announced a new special deal for those who plan to purchase a new Microsoft Band, offering 25 percent discounts and thus cutting down the price from $199 to $150.

This is pretty much the lowest price of the Band since its launch, so now’s the right moment to get one if you don’t mind buying the old model only a few months before the debut of the new one.

The Band is Microsoft’s first attempt at the wearables market, and sales figures have already been impressive to say the least, with the company now working on the second generation that’s supposed to improve a number of features, including battery life and comfort.

Unconfirmed reports claim that the new Microsoft Band is already being tested across Europe, which could be an indication that Redmond is planning to launch the device in several markets from the very beginning.

The first Band, which we reviewed here, was only launched in the United States in limited numbers, but after the unexpected success in the first months of availability, Microsoft decided to offer it to more buyers across the world.
