14 DAY TRIAL // Windows 10 build 10525, which was released to Windows Insiders a few days ago, comes with a bug that causes Google Chrome browser and installed extensions to crash.
While both Google and Microsoft have both confirmed the bug, the first moved really fast to address it, so today the first fix was pushed to users running the Canary build of the browser.
Google Chrome Canary is the nightly build of the browser, which means that just like Windows 10, it's an early version of the application and could come with a number of bugs and issues too. On the good side, it's the only one to work smoothly in Windows 10 build 10525, so in case you were experiencing problems with the browser on this new OS version, running the Canary build is your only option.
And because they're both in preview stage, you kind of know what to expect, so go ahead and download Google Chrome Canary for Windows 10 right now.
In case you're wondering, the version that fixes the bug is 46.0.2489.0 and only the 64-bit build is updated, but it shouldn't take longer until Google includes the patch in the stable version of the browser too.
At the same time, if you don't want to go for a nightly build of the browser, you can always stick to the 32-bit version which seems to work okay on Windows 10 10525.
