Update these two applications and you should be good to go

It’s not a surprise that after upgrading to the Windows 10 Creators Update some apps and games stop working, and it looks like on a number of PCs, GTA V is one of the titles suffering from this issue.

According to a new report, GTA V crashes on launch after the upgrade to the Windows 10 Creators Update is complete, and although the new OS version might be the first one to take the blame for the bug, it’s not.

The issue is in fact caused by third-party software, so what you need to do is to either remove it or update to the latest version if support for the Creators Update is being offered.

In this case, the GTA V crashes are being caused by MSI Afterburner and Rivatuner, so what you need to do is update both of them to the latest versions and then try to launch the game once again.

If updating doesn’t work, which is possible in the case of rivatuner since it hasn’t received an update in a while, you could also try uninstalling the software and see if this makes any difference for the game. If it’s not, you can safely reinstall the app, but if it does, you know what you have to do.

As far as the Creators Update is concerned, only small issues have been reported so far, so most users are enjoying a rather smooth experience after upgrading.
