Redmond puts the SP4 against the MacBook once again

Microsoft’s latest ad puts the Surface Pro 4 against the MacBook for one more time, in an attempt to show that the 2-in-1 device provides many more features than Apple’s laptop.

This time, Microsoft is highlighting features such as the touchscreen, the pen support, and Windows Hello to show why the Surface Pro 4 is so much better than the MacBook Air, turning to a somewhat funny theme to emphasize all of these.

Although, for Microsoft, it makes sense to keep promoting the Surface Pro 4, the new ad comes at a time when more users are expecting the next-generation model, with people close to the matter indicating that Redmond is planning to unveil the Surface Pro 5 as soon as October.

The existing generation was launched in October 2015, so the new model could land exactly one year after its predecessor, which makes sense and also aligns with the debut of other devices, including the third Band smart wristband.

The new Surface Pro model is expected to come with better hardware and improved keyboard, but also with a new pen that will be available for the Surface Book 2 as well. Rumor has it that Microsoft is planning to introduce a new Surface Book model in October as well, so it might be a busy end of the year for fans of Microsoft hardware.
