New little option added to the Maps application

Microsoft has just rolled out a new update for the Windows 10 Maps app that brings a little nifty feature which should definitely come as great news for those on Windows 10 Mobile.

Although the company hasn’t provided a change log for this new version of the Maps app, the update actually brings a new live tile that also features transparency, so it’ll definitely look good on your Windows 10 Mobile Start screen.

The live tile shows some of the features that are included in the app, including local maps, directions, traffic, and even the location of your parked car. You can’t decide what to see in the live tile just yet, but more features could be added at a later time.

Right now, live tiles are among the things that set Windows 10 Mobile apart and users really love them, especially when coming with transparency. And yet, some of the apps that belong to Microsoft, including Skype and OneNote, for example, do not feature transparency, which is kind of unexpected given the fact that the company actually put a lot of effort into this visual effect.

The new feature of Windows 10 Maps app can be found in the latest update, which you can download right away from the store on PCs and smartphones. If you can’t see it right now, simply launch the store and look in the Downloads and updates section.
