A new version of the app is now in the store

The Phone Companion app was released with much fanfare earlier this year, as it allows users of Android and iOS devices to connect them to a Windows 10 PC and get instant access to Microsoft services.

The application is pre-installed in Windows 10, and today Microsoft released a quiet update that appears to fix bugs and improve performance in some scenarios.

There is no change log for this new version, but this shouldn't come as a big surprise. Microsoft has released plenty of updates in the last few weeks without actually telling us what was changed in the new versions, so the Phone Companion app brings nothing new in this regard.

Obviously, it's safe to assume that Microsoft focused on bug fixes and performance improvements, so after the update, some of the problems that you've previously seen in the application should no longer be there.

The Phone Companion app is supposed to be the main interface for bringing together Windows 10 with non-Windows mobile platforms, giving instant access to services such as OneDrive and OneNote, but also allowing users to sync their phones with their PCs.

As usual, users are strongly recommended to update the application as soon as possible, so go ahead and download Phone Companion app for Windows 10 right now to see what's new.
