If you’re a long-time Windows Insider, the chances are that you are already familiar with the Windows ninja cat that Microsoft presented for the first time in mid-2015.

Specifically created to be the official mascot of the Windows Insider program, the ninja cat has become an Internet sensation, with fans across the world creating T-shirts, mugs, and laptop stickers with this little character.

But earlier today, Microsoft has revealed what seems to be the cousin of the Windows ninja cat. Enter the Windows ninja monkey.

Similar to the cat, the monkey is here to celebrate the Windows Insider program, but it’s also born on a special occasion: it comes just in time for the Chinese New Year, so it celebrates the Year of the Monkey.

Redmond has created a large collection of wallpapers that can be used on your desktop, phone, or even Band screen, so head on to this site to download an archive containing all images (all files are included in a ZIP archive, so you won’t need a third-party compression tool to view them, as the default Windows app will work just fine). Additionally, Microsoft’s also offering a high-resolution photo with the ninja monkey, so if you wish, you can use it to create your own T-shirt or hat with the new character.

So there you go, we have a ninja cat and a ninja monkey. Any bets on what comes next?
