This might come as a huge surprise for those who pre-ordered the Surface Book, but it appears that the company has started shipping the laptop today, so everyone could get it a couple of days earlier.

Initially planned to arrive at the doors of customers on October 26, the Surface Book ultimate laptop is now on its way to the first lucky buyers.

Reports have started reaching the web that the Surface Book is now listed as “shipped” in Microsoft store accounts, which means that, with a little luck, you could get it tomorrow. Microsoft hasn't yet confirmed this, so if this isn't a mistake, it could also be a way to make sure that everyone gets the Surface Book at the right moment.

On the other hand, if you haven't yet ordered a Surface Book, you're not so lucky. If you buy one today, the device ships in approximately 5 weeks, which means that you have to wait until the end of November to get it. Not to mention that, if you choose the top-of-the-range model with 1 TB of storage space, you have wait even longer, because this particular version is scheduled to ship in January 2016.

Obviously, chances are that, without a pre-ordered, you might also be able to find a Surface Book in stores after October 26, so it could really be a good idea to pay a visit to a Microsoft store or a retailer to see if there's any in stock.
