It looks like the Surface actually survived

Microsoft has a deal with the NFL to provide them with Surface tablets that can be used on the sideline for things like stats and game strategy, but it’s no secret that there were times when this partnership didn’t work exactly as planned.

And a new episode happened this weekend when the New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick wanted to perform a drop test on the Surface during the game against the Buffalo Bills.

Belichick used the Surface just like he was supposed to, but he then decided to take his frustration out by simply smashing the tablet to a trunk. As you can see in the video below, the hit was quite severe, but at first glance, it looks like the Surface actually survived, mostly thanks to the blue cover that protects it.

Now, you shouldn’t try this at home by any means because we’re pretty sure that your Surface will be entirely destroyed, but on the other hand, this video shows that with the right case, Microsoft’s tablet is quite a durable device that might be able to withstand even the rage of an NFL coach who is losing a game.

This isn’t the first time when Belichick isn’t exactly pleased with the Surface tablet, as he previously stated that there are moments when “it works and it’s good, but when it doesn’t work then it doesn’t work.” So maybe he just wanted to see how good it actually was.
