Microsoft has rolled out new updates for the Office productivity suite on Windows 10 Mobile devices, bringing a bunch of fixes and performance improvements on phones already running the new OS.

Microsoft doesn’t reveal too many details about the contents of these new updates, but it’s worth noting that Word has now reached version 17.6868.47762.0, while Excel is at 17.6868.50482.0. As far as PowerPoint is concerned, look for version 17.6868.42712.0 to be fully up-to-date.

The Microsoft Word change log reveals that the app now comes with options to merge and split cells, so you can “merge cells to make a heading span across columns, or split cells to show the right level of details,” as software giant itself explains.

In the case of Microsoft Excel, the new update brings tools to copy an entire worksheet, so there’s “no need to start from scratch! Get a worksheet set up just the way you line, and then duplicate it.”

For PowerPoint, the update is mostly about bug fixes and performance improvements, so no new features this time, just better stability and fewer issues to experience on a Windows 10 Mobile device.

If you haven’t already received the new updates, it’s worth knowing that it could take a while until they become available for everyone, but in the meantime, you could check for new versions manually from the Windows Store and by clicking on the Downloads and updates section.
