It’s not a secret that many users experience driver issues in Windows 10, and it’s also not a surprise that some have to uninstall the drivers Microsoft’s operating system provides because of these problems.

But a close look at Microsoft’s support forums and feedback platforms proves that users no longer want to struggle with Windows 10 drivers and now request features that could help them block faulty software from being installed on their computers.

A feature suggestion posted in the Windows Feedback app that’s currently available in Windows 10 calls for Microsoft to introduced a feature in its new operating system that would let them blacklist bad driver updates and prevent them from being reinstalled after a reboot.

“Windows Update. Allow users to blacklist driver updates. Your current ASUS driver for my touchpad is incompatible. Yet keeps forcing the update on me. I have to uninstall it, reinstall the old driver and everything works again. Please allow blacklisting option non-Microsoft updates,” the suggestion, which has already received nearly 800 votes in 2 weeks, reads.

Until now, Microsoft hasn’t provided a comment on this, but it’s pretty clear that the company needs to find a way to deal with faulty drivers in Windows 10.

Many users are struggling with the default drivers, and the Windows 10 experience is dramatically affected, so some improvements in this regard would certainly help.
