Microsoft has just announced that the Surface 3 with LTE support will launch in Europe on July 3, after having previously made its debut in Japan two weeks ago through Y!Mobile.

Germany and the United Kingdom will get it first, while both France and Spain will receive the device at a later time, the company says in an announcement today.

In Germany, Deutsche Telekom will provide the 4G coverage for Surface 3 tablets, whereas France will get it via Orange Business Services. In the United Kingdom, O2 will offer Surface 3 owners access to the Internet on the go, while in Spain it will all be possible through Movistar.

“Following availability to business customers in these markets, we’re also looking forward to offering Surface 3 (4G LTE) at retail and through commercial resellers in France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States in the coming weeks,” Microsoft announces.

Spec-wise, the Surface 3 with LTE support will have the exact same features as the standard model, including a 10.8-inch screen, 64GB storage with 2GB RAM or 128GB storage with 4GB RAM, USB 3.0 port, microSD card reader, a microUSB charging port, and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus.

Pricing for the new model with LTE support will be announced on July 3.
