Telegram Messenger is one of the top alternatives to WhatsApp, and statistics show that more and more users give it a try looking for state-of-the-art messaging features on their mobile phones.

One of the best things about Telegram is the fact that it also comes with support for the desktop and the web, so you can send and receive messages without actually holding your phone in hand.

And starting today, Telegram Messenger also comes with support for Windows 10, which means that it now uses system notifications and the action center to give you instant access to the messages you receive.

As you can see in the screenshots below, Telegram now features integration with Windows 10's notification center and there are plenty of options that allow you to configure this behavior after installing the latest version.

Windows 10 will soon get its very own messaging app based on Skype and this functionality is expected to arrive later this year, most likely in the first major update scheduled for October. The very same update is expected to bring extension support for Microsoft Edge, but the company is still choosing to remain tight-lipped and say nothing about the update.

Obviously, the latest version of the app is available here on Softpedia, so go ahead and download Telegram Messenger for Windows is you want to benefit from Windows 10 integration.
